Product Verses Review: Maybelline Mascara

Hey everyone! So for today's blog post I've decided to a product verses review. What that means is that I choose to of the same products either from different brands or types and I review them both and choose the one I like best!

For today's vs. I've chosen Maybelline New York The Rocket Volume Express mascara, and Maybelline New York The Mega Plush Volume Express mascara. Now I've heard raving reviews about both products but I couldn't decided which one to buy so I bought them both.

I first bought the mega plush mascara and I really liked it at first it really made my lashes look long and full. But I wasn't happy with that actual brush it's self since the tip was bendable it caused me to mess up a few times.

I then decided to go out and try the rocket mascara. And was I ever happy I did. I absolutely love this one. The formula goes on so smoothly and it gives my eye lashes a gorgeous doll lash look. I haven't found a downfall to this product yet.

The winner of this battle? Definitely The Rocket Volume Express! I seriously recommend you go out and buy it today it's my favorite drug store brand mascara by far.

Tips & Tricks: If the Slipper Doesn't Fit

Well hello there ladies, we all know that summer is finally here! With this season comes a lot of weddings, hot dates, or just going out on the town with your girls; and when you go we know your going to want to be sporting your favorite pair of heels. But with all that fabulous warm weather comes something that we girls hate; swelling. We all know there is nothing worse than going to put on your most beloved heels and they don't fit! But I am here to save the day! I have a fool proof tip for getting your feet into your glass slippers, when you don't have the time to ice your little toes.

So for those days when your feeling more like the ugly stepsister than Cinderella heres what you got to do: just simply find your favorite body lotion (or foot lotion!) and rub some onto your feet. Make sure to get all of your foot including between your toes! The lotion helps your feet slide effortlessly into your heels, helping you win the battle against swollen feet. Not only does the lotion help get your shoe on but if you use a scented cream your feet will smell wonderful. Try this out and let me know how it works for you!

Product Review: Maybelline New York Baby Lips

Hey guys! So for my first product review I've decided to go with a product that most of you have probably already heard of or even used. That product is Maybelline New York Baby Lips. This lip balm has been a best seller all over north america. So I bet your thinking why I am reviewing a product that already has millions of raving reviews? Well that's simple because I felt the need to express my deep inner love for this lip balm. This stuff is seriously the best lip balm I have used probably ever. I've tried many other drugstore brands like Nivea, EOS and more. But Baby Lips wins by FAR, not only for how well it works but for how appropriate the price is!

The first thing that drew me to the product was the adorable packaging, the bright vibrant colors really caught my eye and I instantly thought I had to try this product. Secondly the advertisements in magazines and on billboards were eye catching as well. When I finally got around to purchasing my first baby lips the blue one (05-Quenched) I was over the top excited to try it. I opened the package as soon as I bought the lip balm and tried it right there in the store. My first reaction was WOW is this stuff ever smooth it glides on your lips so effortlessly. I then couldn't get over how my lips felt instantly 200 times softer after the first use. Not only dose this product make your lips softer and much more kissable but all baby lips (including the tinted shades) have SPF 20, which is important for protecting your lips from the suns harmful rays. The only downfall I've found to the product is that because the lip balm is so soft it gets used up way to fast! I now use this lip balm daily and have accumulated two other flavours the green one (10-Peppermint) and the pink one (25-Pink Punch).

First Post, Welcome!

Hello and welcome to my new blog, Always Think Pink.

This blog dedicated to fashion, decor, and beauty. I will be reviewing products, ranting and, DIY projects. You might be curious to why my blogs titled Always Think Pink well the reason I choose to call my blog Always Think Pink is because of none other than Ms. Audrey Hepburn herself. One of my favorite all time Audrey movies is Funny Face. The icon film has become a staple in my movie collection. My favorite scene from the movie is when Mrs. Presscot (Editor n' Chief of Quality Magazine in the movie) sings Think Pink. The song is just they way I live my life, I think pink. And what does that mean you say? Well when I think pink, it mean girl power, cheesy I know. But did you know that the color pink stands for universal love? I think that's something that really makes pink an extra special color. I think pink is one of the most empowering colors to all women. The color just has so much life, love and promise.

Ever since a was a little girl pink has always, ALWAYS been my favorite color. I simply can't remember a time when I didn't love the color. As I sit in my room typing this post I'm looking around my bedroom and taking in all the pink. First off my one accent wall is a gorgeous raspberry deep pink, my bedside lamps have hot pink shades. I have two accent throw pillows in pink, my chair is covered in vintage velvet pink, I'm wearing Love Pink victoria Secret pink sweats and, even my toe nails are hot pink. You might think I just have an obsession with this female color (which I do) but it's so much more than that like I said I live by pink, and I'm encouraging you too to Always Think Pink!

Here's a clip of the song Think Pink from the movie Funny Face
